About me

In 2011, my pitching coach told me that, in order to get to the next level playing baseball, I had to build muscle. I took some weight training classes with him and got a gym membership so I could continue to workout on my own. Over the span of four months, I transformed my body gaining more than 20 pounds of muscle. And, even more important than that, I discovered that I was a fitness fanatic. I made the difficult decision to leave baseball behind and begin an entirely different career.

After getting my National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certification I became a Personal Trainer with a national gym chain. About 10 weeks in, I thought about quitting. I struggled with the selling aspect of training, and I was not getting the learning and development opportunities I’d hoped for when signing on with a big box fitness facility. Just as I was doubting my ability to turn my passion into a career, a new fitness manager was hired. I watched him, learned from him and eventually became his star student as the highest producing trainer at the gym. After a brief stint in club management, I turned back to training. That’s where I’m meant to be.

And, that’s what’s brought me here.

I train clients of all fitness levels and capabilities, with wide-ranging goals. I help trainers (new and seasoned) get better at their craft. And, as a perpetual student and fitness fanatic, I keep track of, and share, the habits and routines of those who have achieved the greatest success.

Human nature often leads us to focus on personal limitations. Throughout my career and through my own fitness journey, I’ve learned that good coaches help us focus on potential – and great coaches help us reach it. I’m here to focus on you and your goals. To help you filter out the clutter and noise of the day-to-day, center yourself and get great results. The wisdom I’ve gained is hard earned, not the kind you get from a text book or a Google search. My passion is in passing it on.

10 years ago, I began to focus on fitness. Not because I was passionate about it, but because I was told I had to. And then everything changed…
